LMI Aerospace Maintenance Manager in Wichita, United States

Position Summary:

Maintenance Engineer is responsible for all machines preventive maintenance and repair. All preventive maintenance should be scheduled and recorded. This position will also attend to all building maintenance items.

Primary Responsibility:

Preform preventive maintenance on all equipment

Repair equipment when possible

Coordinate repair with OEE, or re-sale representative

Maintain all preventive maintenance and repair records

Generating and monitoring metrics (Machine Downtime, Scheduled Maintenance, Crash Reports…)

Preform / coordinate all building maintenance

Install / coordinate install of new equipment (Electric, air, foundation, etc…)

Oversee chip evacuation system, and coolant reclamation center

Audit machines to ensure all daily operator maintenance items are being completed

On-Call for any maintenance item needing immediate attention

  • Follow all Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures, and ensure down equipment is properly locked and tagged

Direct Supervision: Safety Advocate

Business Relationships:

Constant contact with shift supervisors and Operations Manager

Frequent contact with Engineering

Frequent contact with Purchasing

Skills and Requirements:

Maintenance Engineer must be a self-starter and operate with little supervision. They must have good communication skills to coordinate with machine operators and management. Must have a strong mechanical and electrical background. Must be able to read blue prints, and electrical ladder diagrams. Experience running, and or maintaining CNC equipment is necessary.
