We are seeking an energetic, skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor for our facility in Arkansas City, KS.
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising Quality Technicians, maintain lab equipment, schedule employees, inventory supplies and ensure all quality, legality and food safety programs are being met.
Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak.
Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
Directly supervise and schedule 12-15 Quality Technicians
Ensure all Quality personnel follow strict company, state and federal regulations by reviewing and clearing all Quality Records including but not limited to: on-line packaging and product checks, finished product labeling checks, raw and finished product testing, temperature checks, bulk ingredient receiving testing, milk antibiotic testing, lab equipment calibration checks and microbial testing
Tracking master calibration log
Preform lab equipment preventative maintenance
Coordinating sampling and reporting with Kansas Department of Ag
Tracking for USDA
Organize and delegates duties to be completed for suspect product
Maintains, collates and reports all written records associated with record review
Inventory of Lab Supplies
Skills & Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, any Biological Sciences or related area from an accredited college or university.
5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in food-manufacturing environment, at least 3 of which is in Quality supervision.
Extensive experience with HACCP programs
Better Process School preferred
Lab Analysis methods
Working knowledge of FDA and PMO regulations
Skills and Abilities
• Analyze and resolve complex problems
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
• Prepare a variety of comprehensive administrative and technical documents and reports
• Read and process written information with high degree of accuracy
• Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high level of quality, ethics and customer service
• Willingness and ability to travel via airplane and drive automobile.
• Act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed
• Functions performed by QC Technician
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
